Pushpa-2 actor Allu Arjun gets interim bail, spends night in jail

Pushpa-2 actor Allu Arjun was released on bail after he was arrested by Hyderabad police in connection with death of a woman during the premier of his movie Pushpa-2: The Rise. He was taken into custody after which celebrities reacting to the news some of them saying the safety is not actor’s responsibility.

The stampede left the woman dead, and his son was badly injured in the incident. The woman was identified as Revathi who attended the premier event with her son, but fans got out of control to take a glimpse of the Tamil actor Allu Arjun and the stamped led to death and injuries to some fans. The crowd caused suffocation and injuries to the woman though she was given the CPR but she succumbed to her injuries.

A few hours after Hyderabad police arrested Allu Arjun, the Hyderabad High Court granted an interim bail to the actor in the case. However, the actor had to spend night in jail even after getting the bail.

Earlier an FIR was registered against the actor who later on announced a compensation of RS 25 lakh for the family of deceased woman and her injured son. Though the victim’s husband said that the actor has nothing to do. Allu Arjun is the highest paid actor in the industry and the latest reports suggest that the actor received 300 crores for his role in part 2 of his superhit film Pushpa.

The actor was directed by the court to cooperate in the investigation with the police while granting an interim bail to him. The contention of the counsel was that the police had no prior information that Arjun would be coming for the premier event and the frenzy crowd also pushed the police.

On the other hand, Arjun’s counsel said that this is false information that police were informed. They further said that they informed the police, and the Assistant commissioner of the police signed the approval.
